Ellen Britt for CNT #NFT
A home in Beverly Hills, built in 1928, is for sale for $9.418 million. For an additional $100,000 the buyer can also get a home in the metaverse, but with a twist. Here are the deets:
The five bedroom, six bathroom, Spanish style house, on North Arden Drive in Beverly Hills, is billed as a classic estate, complete with pool and guest house. The sellers are doing something really interesting with this offering which makes it really stand out.
The future buyer has a couple of options: either restore the original house or raze it and start over. If “start over” is the choice, the parcel comes with already approved plans as well as pending permits for an 8 bedroom, 10 bathroom, 10,200 square foot mansion.
But no matter what the decision, even if the owner decides to restore the original 1928 house, they can still purchase the mansion as an NFT in the metaverse, as it’s already built and ready for its new owner in Decentraland.
The Beverly Hills Metahouse is just one example of how buyers as well as real estate agents are getting creative with ways to add value to properties for both sellers and buyers.
