From Walmart to Coca-Cola to the NFL Superbowl, companies representing consumers from all walks of life are getting into the NFT marketplace. The latest company to throw its hat into the ring, or in this case, its premium G Class SUV series is Mercedes-Benz. These vehicles, clearly aimed at the luxury market, have a suggested starting MRSP of $133,250.
Mercedes-Benz is collaborating with five international NFT artists who have created G Class-inspired artwork using different mediums, ensuring the diversity and originality of each of the pieces.
Time-Limited Auction…With A Twist
At 6 p.m. EST on January 23rd, the NFTs will be auctioned, with the time-limited auction lasting for only one hour. Prices for the NFTs range from $222 USD to $1554 USD.
But here’s the twist: when sales of the NFTs reach the one million two million dollars mark, Mercedes-Benz will then raffle an actual physical G-Class SUV. So each person who purchases one of the exclusive NFTs will also have a chance to win one of these luxury vehicles, making this offering true to their company’s slogan: “The Best or Nothing!”
