In spite of some gamers “rebelling” against the introduction of NFTs into their favorite gaming platforms and games, the adoption of NFTs into the gaming space seems inevitable, as more and more companies come into the fold.
The most exciting development that NFTs bring to gaming is NFTs will allow cross-platform playability. This is good news for game developers, as it lets them not only create an additional revenue source but allows them to expand their brand.

This also incentivizes gamers to continue playing a particular game when they already own characters and/or gaming items within it.
Gamers will also have an easier way to trade in games, as transactions will happen instantly via the blockchain without a middleman. Gamers will also be able to buy equipment like weapons or armor that has already been tested by other gamers who have used it.
Gaming companies such as Axie Infinity are breaking new ground with a play-to-earn game by allowing players to convert points earned to cash. And this is only the beginning!
