Ellen Britt for CNT #NFT
We recently told you about how the iconic brand Coca-Cola cashed in with an open NFT auction that raised an eye-popping $575,883.61. Now the ever-popular Crocs brand appears to be getting poised to take action in the NFT space.
Now the Crocs company has not made an announcement, at least not yet, but they signaled their intentions on January 11th by filing a USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) application reserving non-fungible tokens of Crocs “footwear, clothing, bags, accessories, and charms for decorating” according to the filing, which is public. But they went even further. According to the filing, the application would also cover software for both receiving and trading their digital assets, plus an online store where they would be for sale.
See You Later Alligator…
As a publicly-traded company, Crocs enjoyed a bountiful 2021 and boasted a 67% increase in revenues. Getting into the NFT space could add a new and very lucrative line to their already hugely successful product offerings. …in a while, Crocodile!!
