Troy Warren for CNT #NFT
NFTs have become a worldwide obsession, have they not?
Their popularity and reach are rising by leaps and bounds every day, with worldwide superstars and major corporations releasing NFTs on a regular basis. Have you ever heard of an ‘ordinary guy,’ or, more precisely, a student,’ who has become a sudden sensation in the NFT space?
Ghozali Ghozalu, is a 22-year-old Indonesian student who ‘accidentally’ began selling his selfie photos on OpenSea, a peer-to-peer NFT marketplace. Ghozali’s collection, named “Ghozali Everyday,” spans five years, from 2017 to 2021, and includes selfies taken by him practically every day from the age of 18 to 22.
Ghozali claims that he is only standing in front of his computer day after day in his 933’selfie’ photos released as NFTs. Nonetheless, a few NFT collectors chipped in during an ongoing sale on the site, and it became a meme.
He apparently started selling the images for 0.001 ETH ($3.25) apiece, and the NFTs sold out in a matter of days. He made $3,000 on his first sale. The collection then peaked at about 1 ETH ($3250) per NFT after two days and had stabilised around a base price of 0.38 ETH with 277 ETH in traded volume, implying that the base price is worth over $1.4 million, after hovering around the $3 million level.
Not only that but there’s more. With a massive 72,000 per cent increase in activity, his collection Ghozali Everyday made it into the top 40 on the NFT platform’s 24-hour trading volume rankings….
Way to go…gamerboy!!
