Business travel faces long road to recovery from pandemic

By Kelly Yamanouchi, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Troy Warren for CNT Atlanta’s economic fortunes linked to corporate trips, conventions American leisure air travel is bouncing back quickly after plunging last year. But it could take months or years for business travel to return to normal — if ever — even as more companies prepare to bring workers back to offices. That spells uncertainty for metro Atlanta’s economy, which hosted hundreds of trade shows and conventions before the pandemic. Eighteen Fortune 500 companies have their headquarters in Georgia, also drawing a steady stream of visitors with expense accounts through Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport until last year.…

The One Circumstance When You Actually Should Rinse Your Cooked Pasta

The One Circumstance When You Actually Should Rinse Your Cooked Pasta

By Sara Tane | FoodAndWine.Com Troy Warren for CNT Yes, there’s a time and place for rinsing your noodles. Preparing dry pasta is as straightforward of a cooking method as they come. You bring some heavily salted water to a boil, you drop in your pasta and cook it to your desired doneness (al dente for a little bite or fully cooked through), and then maybe you reserve some pasta water before draining the noodles. See? Simple, easy, boom, done. No questions asked. Most pasta recipes would never instruct you to rinse your pasta after cooking it. For a lot of folks, the mere thought…

And Detroit-Style Pizza is arguably Detroit’s greatest contribution! What makes it Detroit-Style? It starts with the crust – deep and thick in composition and yet light and airy in taste. The steel square pans (borrowed from the auto industry) give it a unique shape…

NBC Approaches “Moral Hazard” Amid Tokyo Olympics Push During Pandemic

BY PATRICK BRZESKI | HollywoodReporter.Com Troy Warren for CNT As health experts question the wisdom of proceeding with the games in Japan — where just 6 percent of the population is fully vaccinated — the broadcaster, with billions at stake, is taking a big risk. During the TV industry’s upfronts in May, Disney enlisted Jimmy Kimmel to liven up the proceedings with a stand-up routine. The ABC late-night star roasted the broadcast community but reserved his arguably sharpest words for NBCUniversal, saying, “NBC is planning to move forward with the Olympics this summer, even if they have to kill every last person in Japan to…

This year’s AAA projection marks a rebound of 33% from traffic last year when the coronavirus kept many of the state’s residents at home, though not as many as elsewhere in America. It’s a mere 1.5% shy of the record number of Georgians…

The company has worked with trappers contracted through the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to remove the gators, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Most of the nuisance gators taken from Disney properties are euthanized and sold for their hide and meat, Tammy Sapp, spokeswoman for the wildlife agency, told the newspaper. June 22 HELP! WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR DOG GETS SPRAYED BY A SKUNK

Troy Warren for CNT   If your dog ever has the misfortune to get sprayed by a skunk, you definitely want to be prepared! One sniff will tell you instantly and most people cannot stand to even be in the same room with their dog once they have been sprayed. So why is skunk spray so offensive? Skunk spray comes from two glands which are located on each side of the skunk’s anus. The glands produce the liquid which is composed…
